Jerry Durant GMC of Weatherford Presents the 2010 Yukon Denali
Our highest level of engineering. Our most advanced technology. Our most luxurious appointments. Yukon Denali sets the standard. Our Dallas-Fort Worth GMC dealership is a proud retailer of the 2010 Yukon Denali.
The Vortec V-8s in every Yukon half-ton model feature Active Fuel Management (AFM). All eight cylinders operate during starting, idling and torque-intensive tasks like accelerating, hauling heavy loads or towing. But in everyday driving, once Yukon has reached cruising speed, AFM can temporarily deactivate four of the eight cylinders, closing both intake and exhaust valves and cutting fuel delivery for half of the cylinders. And for 2010, driver-selectable Fuel-Saver mode allows you to stay in 4-cylinder mode longer. When you demand brisk acceleration or full torque to move a load, the AFM activates all cylinders so full V-8 power is always right there, on tap. In the case of the Vortec 6.2L V-8 standard in Yukon Denali, that means 403 horsepower and best-in-class 417 lb-ft of torque. In keeping with Denali luxury, the 6.2L incorporates Active Noise Cancellation.
GMC Denali Yukon’s Unsurpassed Fuel Economy
AFM makes a significant contribution to the unsurpassed conventional engine.EPA estimated fuel economy (1c city/21 highway) is achieved bt Yukon models with the highly efficient Vortec 5.3L V8 engine. Enhancements include cam-phasing, aluminum wheels and a 3.08 axle ratio to contribute to Yukon’s economical performance. Along with fuel savings and outstanding performance, Fort Worth GMC Denali owners will still enjoy a 5400-lb trailering capacity.
Yukon Hydramatic Transmissions
All Yukon models with Vortec 6.2L and 5.3L V-8 engines are now equipped with a beautifully engineered 6-speed automatic that combines smooth operation in a wide variety of conditions with an enjoyable element of personal control. Driver Shift Control (DSC) lets you select a range of gears to suit variable driving situations. Shift into “M” and the currently engaged gear number is illuminated, and all gears up to and including that one are accessible. As conditions vary, the range of available gears can be changed by tap-shifting the plus-minus button up or down.
Both that 6-speed and the heavy-duty unit mated to the L96 Vortec 6.0L V-8 VVT of the Yukon XL ¾-ton feature driver selectable Tow/Haul mode. Tow/Haul mode reduces excessive shifting when towing or hauling a heavy load, and it automatically engages Grade Braking. When descending hills, Grade Braking changes the timing of gear shifts to use the engine and the transmission to slow the vehicle, reducing the demand on the brakes and helping to produce confident descents.
Innovative Engineering
GMC engineered Yukon Denali to excel in real life conditions. An exceptionally strong, stiff frame and wide track stance enhance overall stability, isolate road noise and contribute to a precise, controlled ride. With a tight turning radius and rack and pinion steering, Weatherford GMC drivers will enjoy a confident, solid feel through corners. The suspension-coil-over-shock front, five-link rear- features Premium Smooth Ride tuning enhancements to maintain responsive handling under both light and heavy-load conditions. Yukon Denali and Yukon XL Denali take it to the next level with Auto-Ride real-time dampening. This system varies shock absorber stiffness in response to changing driving conditions in real time. Rear shocls have airlift/auto-leveling capability. MagnaRide for Yukon Denali Hybrid takes computer controlled real-time damping into the ultra-luxury realm without sacrificing Yukon’s agile handling.
Beginning with its leather-wrapped, power-tilt steering wheel, Yukon Denali’s standard equipment ensures that you travel in individualized style and comfort. Automatic tri-zone air conditioning lets driver and passenger, as well as second row passengers, select their particular comfort level. Bose Centerpoint surround sound system uses digital amplification to make music sound full, detailed and free of distortion, while SurroundStage signal processing circuitry allows occupants to feel as if they are right in the middle of the performance. Bose AudioPilot noise compensation technology monitets ambient sound within the vehicle to continually adjust the audio signla so music will sound the same without constance resetting of the volume control.
The 2010 Yukon Denali simply rocks. It still has what brought it to the spotlight of sport utility vehicles -and much more; extraordinary acceleratio, capable handling, excellent value, head-turning looks, unique interior design, good fuel economy.
